One of the first things I learnt to crochet was hearts. In fact, my first project of any size was a heart garland which I still have hung up in my room. It’s looking a bit tatty now, and I must say my skills have improved a lot since then, but the hearts still bring me great joy. The pattern I used for that garland was this one.
Today, however, I have been making even smaller hearts. I’m not really sure what I’m going to use them for yet. Probably greetings cards (I have made lots with these hearts in the past, and they were a hit at Artwave!). Wanna see them?
Aren’t they adorable!? I love the colours.
Right, so to make your own: I used THIS pattern for the small hearts, and THIS pattern for the larger ones. And the yarn I used was Drops Safran, which I absolutely LOVE working with. It is 100% cotton, really soft, and they make it in great colours!
Let me know if you have any other cool heart patterns!
