Biker Jacket

I am SO proud to be showing off this finished item. It took many hours of work, including hand sewing (which I haven’t done in a long time!) and it is the first garment I have ever made!

I have recently subscribed to Simply Crochet magazine, which I recommend to any crocheter! The first issue I got in the mail (issue 14) had this beautiful biker jacket on the front:

This is the first garment I have seen that I really wanted to make, and the pattern didn’t look too complicated! However, the wool recommended (Debbie Bliss I think it was) was a little expensive for me, so I went in search of something similar that I could afford. I decided on Drops Nepal, shade 7139 – Grey Green, which can be purchased from Wool Warehouse. And thankfully it worked well (I used a 4.5mm hook)! I ordered the zips from ebay.

I worked on the jacket on and off for a couple of months. And THIS is how it turned out…

Let me know what you think! 🙂

Hex Blanket

I am very pleased to be showing off this finished item. It feels like it has taken me forever! I started it at the end of December, without really planning it, so it is a hodge podge of mismatched colours and yarns! BUT I think it works! It is the first blanket I’ve made which is bigger than a baby blanket, and I’m very pleased with it.

I mostly used sirdar snuggly which is really lovely to work with, despite being acrylic. The yellow is stylecraft life dk. The rest are yarns I already had (the navy is vintage wool).

Wanna see it…?

Let me know what you think! 🙂

ANOTHER Baby Blanket! :D

I’m sorry it has been so long since I posted anything. It has been a hectic and stressful few weeks. I have lots lined up to show you, however. I will start with one for today. Someone who saw my baby blanket giveaway decided that even though they didn’t win, they were going to order TWO blankets, so that kept me busy for a very long time!

Wanna see them?

(The pictures are all terrible to I’m just going to post them ALL and hopefully you get they idea!)

More posts coming soon, I promise! xxx
